# Session 7: Education and the LLI's "Buddy Badge" Initiative

## About the speakers

Matthias Bosbach ([LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthias-bosbach/))

## Abstract

We feel that something is wrong: rarely have so many people taken an interest in all matters digital, but finding the right candidate for a new role is one big challenge. We believe that this is not due to a lack of talent, but down to the difficulty of entering the field. There is no real education yet, so on-the-job training and mentoring are key. The Buddy badge Initiative provides a structure and a network to offer exactly these elements together. Come and join us!
